Finally 6 months! (I know I'm Late)

Wow! I can't believe its been 6 months (now almost 7). I had my 6th retightenting about 3 weeks ago and it seems as if I'm doing pretty well. Here is a 6th month pics in comparison to my locking day pics.

6 months:

Day 1:

You can see a little difference in the length.
This last retightening took a little longer than usual because of my swimming adventures in St. Thomas. However it wasn't as bad as it could have been because I followed my consultant's instructions and wore the dreaded swim cap. The swim cap wasn't so bad though. I had a blast in St. Thomas. Here are some pics:

My grandmother, fiance, and I posing at my cousins wedding. I rodded my hair with perm rods the night before.

Me and the swim cap snorkeling away in the clear waters of St. John.

Me posing at the resort we stayed at in St. Thomas. It was really nice.
Well since my 6 month post is so late, my 7 month post should be coming up pretty soon. Stay tuned!

Your locks are maturely nicely. Boy, the water was crystal clear in St. Thomas. I was have to put that on my to do list. I didn't realize there was a dread cap. I will try that next time. My locks appear to be extremely dry after swimming in salt water. Your locks are gorgeous.....

Hi. I've got a question. I'm thinking about Sisterlocks. One of the reasons I'm interested in Sisterlocks is because I want to be able to go to the beach and not worry about my hair. Why the swimcap? Did you have to wear the swimcap because your locks were relatively new, or is it because you should always wear a swimcap with Sisterlocks? The locs look really nice, by the way. Your hair length when you started out is about the same as mine is now. Hmmmm. Would mine be similar to that, I wonder? I'd appreciate your reply. I'm looking for as much info as possible before I take the plunge. Thanks

I only had to wear the swim cap because my hair was still new at the time. Once my hair matured a little bit more, I didn't have to wear the cap. I'm not required to braid and band my hair anymore when I wash it (even though I still do it because I think its easier to wash my own hair that way) so I guess at this point it would be safe to swim without a cap. I actually went swimming over the holidays without a swim cap and everything was fine.

Thanks for the compliment on my locks. Not sure if yours would look the same, everyone's hair is different. Good luck with your decision!
